not sure about everyone else but i reckon i see 5 GTS for every GT3 at least, thats just a guess but its many times more and i think 5 is a low guess

looking on how many left i see there are about 1250 GT3s total in the UK vs 2000 GTS, are GT3s really not being driven to that extent?

depends where you live I guess, I don't see any sports cars really and I am out every day, let alone seeing a GT3.

GT cars = garage queens.

GTSs = increasingly garage queens.

All to protect value/reduce depreciation.

The past 3 1/2 yr I have only seen one 991 GT3. That was on the A40 coming out of London.

Unreal really. See lots of vanilla 911’s but GT’s are scarce.

My 7.2 GT3 is my daily. The 7.2 RS is for sunny weekends. The incoming Touring will be a daily too - sharing duties wiht the vanilla 3. Why would I want to drive anything other than a GT-division car?

yeap, we might get nuked by the ex-soviet gangsters shortly (or a stock market meltdown, or an asteroid, or a bus, or or or), so I am using the GT3 touring for daily duties.

I drive my GTS on weekdays and my GT3 at weekends, and so on my road the ratio is 5 to 2 (but then again, in my office car park, it's 5 to zero!).

I hope that's helped clear things up.

Don’t have a Porsche atm - my GT2 was my daily until I crashed it

Summer daily is the Scuderia
Winter and rain daily the FF
Trying to split my annual 20-25k km between those equally plus c 5k km of very short distances in the RS (Clio that is). Trying to do as much mileage as possible as otherwise what’s the point in owning the cars ....

If Porsche had sold me a GT3, that would have taken over summer daily duties (and I’d have to sell one of the above, so maybe not too bad an outcome)

Had a GT2RS in front of me on the Autobahn last weekend - first one I saw

common theme here seems to be that GT cars are often not just 2ndor 3rd cars but 2nd or 3rd porsches now. Almost like they are going to professional Porsche buyers or something...

still I didn't know until today there were so many GT3 around you really would not guess

It's almost impossible to get a GT3 without having bought at least one other Porsche and more likely two or three. So chances are most GT3 owners are running one as a family car or daily.

I saw a GT Silver 991.2 GTS this morning as I was walking to work down Regent St...mighty fine it looked too.

There are 32 million cars on the road in the U.K,and you are surprised that you don’t see much of a car that has sold 600-800 units ?

1250 was including RS... but no. I was comparing it to the number of GTS i see which has sold 2000.

not that surprising

i see 730 997 GTs and 1250 991s of which 600 are 991.2s

the GTS is now seen as a major part of all porsche models

reason i say not that surprising is that they have made ~750 GT3s in the UK for gen 997 and 991 , so 3 GTS to every 1 GT3 seems entirely plausible

i think the 911 range now is at a point where you effectively have the 911S first half and the GTS second half of each sub model - hardly anyone buys an S once the GTS is available
