BMW Recall

Many people with BMW M140/M240i's on order and due for delivery around now have found their cars have disappeared inside of BMW's delivery system due to some kind of recall.

As of today it's suggested it's ECU/emissions related and that BMW are dispatching teams to fit parts or do "something" on vehicles at the docks or withing BMW UK's delivery network.

BMW don't appear to be telling their dealers much detail of the issue.

Given that's the case it's a long shot but does anyone here happen to know anything?

I suspect it will involve a software update and be in regards to the new emissions standards

If it's anything like a VAG recall it sounds like a recall worth avoiding!
