Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of a decent dyno company whose dyno operator's knows their onions? I am after a really smoth transition from off/part load throttle to applying the load again, i.e. just about to hit the apex of a corner then getting hard on the gas.

The 04 R1 I've got has sh1te fuel mapping low down and is really abrupt when coming back on the power again, however smooth I am with the throttle, compared with my previous carb'd version.....

I'm not looking for the extra 2 or 3 top end hp cos no one really cares about this (apart from the pub), but more the mid and low range smoothness.

Does anyone else hear have an 04/05 R1 that they think sounds like a grenade waiting to blow up at 12k rpm? It sounds worse then my old 748SP duke!!

Hi Fergus,

PDQ Developments in Taplow (Berks) are very good.

www.pdq1.co.uk/

I used them for my 99' R1 with good results. Other people I know who have used them have also been pleased.

Cheers

Forgot to mention they have also just built a new dyno center on the side of their old building. They had an open day a couple of weeks back and I put the gixer on there. The guy seemed to know his stuff on power commanders...

Fergus, my GSXR thou was done at Crescent. If you're close to Salisbury (they are at Verwood, a little south of Salisbury) then Alan is very good with Suzooks but can do any bike with a PCIII. Verwood is worth a look anyway!
