Now thats just mad?!! I am considering buying a T350 or Tam, but residuals are sloping from what i can see, what's happening?

That is a private ad though, so it will be cheaper that going to a dealer, but you have to offset that £25K with the cost of another service (I would, and did that when I got my Tam), and a reasonable warranty; once you've done that, the true cost is between £26-28K.

They won't go that much below 20k though. Come on, you know you want to.

Driven one yet? Wadda you think compared to the S2000? (lets not mention the TT).

Also, when I look at, and drive mine, depreciation is the last thing on my mind!!! TVR's by default are not bought for sensible reasons, they are bought for the sensation they offer, and that is pricless!

Ah, but a lot of people moan about losing a few K. You should see them moan on the TT forum when their 30k car is worth 20k less than a year later (dealer p/ex). They're the ones who buy with their heads (well they think they are, it's just their heads aren't too good ).

TVRs should only be bought with the heart (and deep pockets).

Certainly is but i always steer away from cars which seem a bit too low on price, i would say 28 - 29k for a private 03 in v good condition would be about right, a lets be honest, the colour IMO should knock about 1 - 2k off the average price, after all spectraflair silver looks like its covered in silver glitter. Maybe one for the visually impaired then.

Blimey that was quick replies! I agree that you have to factor in the price of a warranty and servicing etc, so the cheaper i can get the car the better really, think ill aim for a £25k T350 private sale and buy a decent warrenty.

Trefor, ive not had a chance to drive a T350 or Tam yet cos the only local dealer has been either shut or the TVR salesman is on holiday! It doens't bode well, so as soon as 'County' get their arses in gear, i can go testdrive and make some sort of decision.

My main problem is insuring a T350. Best quotes so far have been fro Admiral @ £800 for a Tam and £1300 for a T350!

I can't really comment on spectral silver as ive never seen one in the flesh, but looking at the pics, it just looks like a metallic silver.

Try Privilege (If you haven't already, mine was £580, inclusive of NCB protection, legal aid and 8K a year limit, I think!), I can't understand why the T350 is so much more expensive than the Tam!, I would have thought it would have been almost the same!
When you drive one, you will not look back, it's very addictive!

Ah, I'm 11 years older at 38 and 13 years NCD (helps to have spouse on insurance also, for some reason!!). When I had my SP30, the robbing bleeders loaded quite a bit onto my insurance, and they ask if we have had any conviction over the past 5 years,,

My T350 costs me around £800. About £200 more than the Chimaera, and the broker said this was only because of the difference in vehicle value. A Tamora would have been the same cost to insure for me (36, clean license, lots of NCB, medium dodgy postcode (Wycombe), garaged, no tracker or anything).

Try Sunninghill insurance in Bagshot and A Manning in Henley as these guys do loads of TVRs. Mannings is the TVR car club recommended insurer (or something like that).

Enjoy the test drive when it does happen!

That might explain why I've had little interest in mine.

Soooo ....my metallic silver 03 with 24k miles, and in very good condition, was up for sale for 25k but you can have it for the bargain price of... 28k and I'll even pay for the next service and a warranty.

Go on... you know you want it!
