new to BMW's so forgive if this has been done to death.
520d f11 2010, thought I'd give one a go to see if I like them, and I do.
problem is one (left hand side) of the angel or halo eyes has stopped working.
Would this be a bulb issue, if it is likely, why can I not find anything on the net. am I looking in the right places, i.e.side lights and drl lights?

Not sure if it’s the same as earlier 5s but on the e60 it’s a seperate filament bulb although the bulb alone cannot be replaced, it needs the whole unit.

When mine failed I replaced both with led units which costs less the pair than one from bmw.

Thanks for that.
On closer inspection.when I first turn them on as side lights they flicker then go out. So I'm now wandering if there is a loose connection somewhere. I'll get the inner arch of this weekend and have a look. Grand national hangover permitting.

Any warnings? Mine got water in the light after the back plate fell off. It gave height adjustment failure warnings and the Angel eyes flickered and eventually stopped working. I bought a replacement control circuit board and had it fitted. The old one was covered in white powder and it needed the contacts cleaned for the new one to work. Access is poor from the rear port via the under wheel arch access and you may need to remove the headlight.

That is exactly the same as my situation. Opened the hatch in arch an the weather seal wasn't in place over the h/lamps. I've replaced it since, I'll get the cover back off and spray with contact cleaner or wd40. Anything non conductive will do.
