No instruments, no heater blower, now ignition.
Discussion
It seems that most of the electrics are working, I have indicators, lights, wipers, starter motor, horn, mirrors and window lifts. What I do not have is any movement from the instruments, nor do I have any blower fan or spark (likely no fuel pump either as I can't hear it).
Am I safe to assume these are not all related to the same 12 volt feed, or the same earth point?
The car has an aftermarket Clifford alarm, but I have checked and from what I can tell the two immobilizer circuits are not the culprit. With that said perhaps there are more than two such circuits!
The car has been off the road for some time in storage, so I don't know what may have led to these gremlins. I see no indications of rodents, so I don't believe there has been any such damage.
So, I realize we won't able to trouble shoot it in this forum, so back to my initial question, can anyone think of why this specific group of functions would all be out of commission at once?
Thanks.

I had similar problems with my car which had been off the road for 15 years, the fuel pump problem is probably relay / pump related and a seperate issue to the instruments and blower. I had lost the supply to the instruments and blower from within the fuse board so I picked up a12v supply from the ignition switch and ran a new feed back to the offending circuit via an inline fuse and cut the dead feed coming from the fuse board. I didn't have any problems with the ignition.Bear in mind your problem might be related to a different fault such as bad connections etc so check other options before altering the harness.
Good luck. John

The ignition and instruments are separately fused but off the same feed.
The heater also has its own fuse but from a different feed. This hopefully explains:

If your car has been laid up for a while it is highly likely that the fuse contacts have become corroded, you could try inspecting the relevant fuses (the fuse number may differ in your car depending on its age) and clean up the fuse pins and the socket contacts.
If you have a voltmeter you should be able to measure volts on both sides of the fuses ( with ignition on) if volts only appear on one side you will know then that either the fuse has blown or the contacts are dirty.
Best of luck!

Thanks for the replies. Hope to get some time (and maybe a little warmer weather) to crawl head first in to the foot well and carefully go over the fuse panel and relays.
I also have the dash cover off, so that gives me good access to the wiring there.
Although the car was stored for years, it was stored in a warm dry climate so not suffering from any significant corrosion that I can see, but realizing that the first five years the car lived in the UK that may have already taken hold.
I am hoping it isn't too hard to find, perhaps a poor ground. I have not heard the car run yet - beyond the electricals I will be priming the oil pump and going over other underhood items - looking forward to firing it up.

On my 97 Chim the instruments and the fan control module are fed from fuse 16. The clock has a separate feed so if that is working then the the issue is supply related rather than earth as the whole dash uses a common earth.
Ignition could be a separate issue.

Ah ha! Good point on the clock, mine is working fine, so looks like the ground isn't the culprit. Thanks.Ignition could be a separate issue.
