grainy image from projector - suggestions please
Discussion
Hi,
I recently treated myself to an Epson EHTW 5600 projector and 92'' optoma screen from Richer sounds.
I was really pleased with the image on the films I tested it with (John Wick 2, Rogue One), then I thought I'd play with the settings and now the image is quite grainy, to the point I was really disappointed watching the last Jedi last night.
I'm only using it to watch blu rays via a sony BDP-S6700, I'm a complete novice with AV stuff so any areas to investigate / pointers would be very gratefully received.
I had been connecting the blu ray player up to a sony sound bar via Bluetooth, but the sound keeps dropping out, so I think the next step will have to be to buy an av amp and speakers.
thanks

Is there not a "reset to factory settings" option in the settings menu somewhere?
according to the user guide ( https://images-eu.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/D... ) there should be a reset memory, which I suspect will default all the settings you have changed. Might be worth a start here.......or speak to the guys at the shop.

thanks, I've reset the projector and the DVD player, last Jedi is still really grainy, so I've just tried it on the Samsung tv in the other room (with a different sony blu ray player) and it looks grainy on that as well.
I'm half way through setting up the room the projector is in so there are no blinds / curtains at the moment, so I will have to wait until it gets dark to do a test on other films.
