What are people's thoughts on Speed Yellow.

I am looking at a GT3 in this colour (not the one in the pic). I love the colour now, but will I tire of it and also what about resale ?

Would you or wouldn't you ?

Fantastic on GT3. I've always though it is the colour to have on a GT3, especially with black interior and red seatbelts or harnesses in a clubsport.

YES. Works with the GT3. It just has a certain "something".....raw and powerful.

Look at the 964 RS.......the loud colours now command a premium!

I bought a GT3 in yellow at the weekend. £14.99 from ModelZone (and OEM Porsche stock too!).

Just love Speed Yellow - great on a GT3 - and pretty damn great on some other Porsches too. For me it was quite a difficult choice between Speed Yellow and the Guard's Red I finally went for...

I had a Mk1 Gt3 in Speed Yellow and absolutely loved it! One comment is that there does seem to be various shades of SY, some seem very yellow whilst others seem more primrose.

Looks great with black wheels against the red calipers. I prefer yellow belts but there you go!

In my view there are only two colours to go for.

Guards Red of course and Speed Yellow.

Unfortunately it is an opinion shared by the boys in blue.

I'm totally biased, SPD Yellow suits the GT3 like no other Porsche I've seen. It can work both ways with resale, sure it's not going to be as popular as Silver or Black but then again when you do sell it there will be less competition - looking at the current GT3MkII market there are one or two choices in yellow compared with the multitude of others.... but as I say no one can accuse me of objectivity, a GT3 purchase has to come from the heart so get the colour stirs the soul rather than your logic... enjoy!

Speed yellow is the only "proper" colour for a GT3.

Do you intend to use the car as a daily driver? In which case, take a look at cobalt blue on my profile, as retina burning yellow can sometimes be just a bit much...

I love speed yellow, and went to see a standard 993in this colour. Somehow doesn't work for me on a less agressive car so I bought a pastel yellow one instead.

If I knew how to post pics I would enclose a copy

My Mk2 was Cobalt and it just never "did it" for me as much as SY. There you go though each to his own.

As for resale it is very much a case of people either want a SY car or they dont. There does not seem to be any in between
