Not good.

Mind you the comment "people are killing themselves on roads we're not targetting" must imply they're targetting the wrong roads.

Tony
PS I did have a search but didnt see this elsewhere on here.

Last year, 59 people were killed in north Wales, compared to 49 in 2003. However, on those roads with speed cameras, the number of fatalities remained at 12 in each year.

That is because you are only targeting roads that bring in the most revenue

Nothing to do with safety.

Nah! They're just trying to justify more spending on more speed cameras on more roads whilst making themselves look like the saviours of mankind. ....

A spokeswoman for Arrive Alive said: "People are killing themselves on roads we're not targeting."

Are we to infer that Arrive Alive now wish to take over from the Samaritans?

What's happened here (as everywhere else) is that the RTTM benefit illusion has run out. They only get it once and it's over. See: www.safespeed.org.uk/rttm.html

Meanwhile deaths have risen by 20% in a single year - A really awful statistic and one that they are responsible for with their flawed, oversimplified and ultimately deadly policies.

Fatalities on roads mit scams ist decreaing....blah blah blah...

we identified roads mit high risk und so seeing a decrease in fatailities

Und Cambridge no doubt claims the same. In March - I visit relative in that area. Ist an anniversary bash. He has biggest party on same day each year.

We looked at site to get scam locations... und they justify use of mobile talivan trap by claiming that over 400 people died on A1307 und couple of other roads on this date 2000/2001/2002/.

But it never happened. Each member of this family drove on all those roads on that date - und have done so before und since. Never ever seen any sign of any accident. Und that number of deaths on that one date divided by three ... ist newsworthy catastrophe und implies biggest coach or bus crash for so many at once.

It never happened though. People at this party are mostly medics employed at the local hospitals (relative ist another medic...) Not one recalled to hospital.

Ist another exaggeration ... und they are all at it. Blowing up figures mit same hot air they spout to try to justify existence und massage their egos und deceive selves into thinking they are making useful contribution to society.

I would have more respect if those Cambs figures were realistic enough to be believed - und I know this to be lie as on those roads on that day - marked by family anniversary bash. Ist how I can be so positive.

[
und despite Truvelo on A14 ... hear there has been crash in vicinity - where A14 meets M11 - und itst not speed ... ist worse piece of road engineering you could find anywhere. Und money should be spent on ironing out the wrinkles there

Nice one streaky....!

But suspect reason why people die on other roads ist due to poor engineering, und for all other reasons we all know about.. drink, prescription und hard drugs (und this guy wishes to legalise und add to problem. Does he not know that people cannot handle relaxed drink laws. Und these are not substances which make "squiffy" .. these are drugs which permanently change body und permanently alter mind. This CC ist twazak

Und let us not forget ... these roads are not lucrative enough. We have smae problem here. Steve targets the lucrative und easy roads where people will push envelope a bit. Ist not addressing areas where there ist a problem. Und to address the problem .. ist not speed... ist train to apply COAST!

Article also mentions that fines got to police. Nein... they go to fund these mini-businesses who are self sufficient.

But typical... want police to carry brunt of dissatisfaction. Pass buck und hide behind police... like cowards they are...

Now camera representatives are usually quick to jump in on some issues, so they are obviously lurking.

Do they have any comments to add?
