Seem to have caught my eye, more recent 2009 onward model.
Have a Masser GTS at the moment (great car) but time to change her. Other runners and riders are 997 TT (but have had a 996TT) and an R8 V10. Know they are all different....
Back to the Jag.....
What are they like?
Reliable?
Jags depreciate like a stone, have these levelled out yet?
Is the XKRS worth the premium?
Cheers

I drove an XKR-S a while back, it had already lost about 50% of its massive asking price in two years or so, partly thanks to the F-Type Coupe coming out.
Was a disappointing drive. Very big, hard to place, felt soft and I didn't trust the back end to stay where I wanted it to.
I didn't expect a sports car, but I hoped for something sportier. For the money I'd be after an equivalent Aston, but those have their own issues (mainly price of maintenance)

I'm not really in the market any more, but until last year had my eyes on these for quite some time. Like for like they don't seem to have depreciated significantly during the 2 years or so I was keeping note, nor since from what I can see. I think they are regarded as fundamentally better than the previous XKR and their status as (presumably) the last big Jaguar GT means they haven't depreciated especially quickly after the initial drop.
I like the XKR for the looks, the noise and the retired Concorde pilot image. Very nice cars in my opinion. The interior is nice but possibly a bit dated and the nav/entertainment unit is apparently poor. Neither of these issues bother me much. Opinions and experiences on and of reliability seem mixed, some having no problems others lots. Performance is pretty stupendous to the point that arguing about stats is meaningless outside of a race track and racing drivers. Handling seems reasonably secure for the power on tap, and entertaining in GT rather than sports car way.
The XKR-S is apparently something rather amazing but a bit full-on as an everyday car.

This is what I had hoped from it when I drove it. Instead I got a nice XKR in a very lairy suit. Perhaps appeals to some, for me at the time it did not.I do still admire them when they pass me on the motorway, in Riviera blue especially.
