Mate it sounds like it's time you bought yourself a copy of Retro Cars. No naff bodykits, no tits and arse, just how to modify more modern classic cars to go faster. Stuff like putting Zetecs in MKII Escorts, getting better handling from E21 3-Series, mental modified Minis with twin motorbike engines, turbocharged X1/9s, and there was something a few months ago about upgrading the old Supra from the '80s.

OK, so it's probably a bit older than you like, but have you tried Banzai, or Japanese Performance - the more focused the mag, the better quality the articles.
