First question : What did the tops of the gearknobs look like on the pre-cats with the Rover gearbox? Was there a sticker with the shift pattern on the top? Mine has nothing.

The gearknob is aluminium. Any other options like wood or leather covered from suppliers? What is the threadsize? It gets very hot where I live and gripping a hot knob is not something I like to do (keep it clean.... redcard)

My factory gearknob did have the shift pattern engraved into it (not a sticker).

I got the larger heavier gearknob shown at the link below for my precat but did not have the pattern engraved. It feels great in the hand and I think helps with shifting gears.

I contacted him prior to ordering and when I told him what it was for he said to add the following note in the comment box to get the correct thread size "Knob is for TVR Griffith. 1/2-20 Thread".

Looks like he can provide some sort of cover/protector to deal with heat/cold, or also does other materials than stainless steel.
He is based in the US so good for you I think.

My 93 Chimaera 430 has a sticker with shift pattern on it.... no not a Griffith but it's a 93 with the LT77 box. Am thinking of making a wooded shift knob for mine. It gets a little warm at home as well. It's already into the mid twenties and more.
