So i have a 2008 BMW 320D and I have taken it to 2 garages. One says my gearbox might have gone, the other says it's my clutch bearing.

There's a noise coming from under the car (possibly under the front drivers seat) - I have a link to it below.

The noise sounds like something is rotating. When I'm in neutral & stationary, the noise is slow and low. The faster I drive, the faster the rotation gets and it gets louder.

While the car is moving, If i change the gear to neutral, the noise goes. As soon as I get back in to gear, it comes again.

Any experts out here that can help me out please?

Please see the link to the video recording the noise - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TX4v7ggG-R8

...does not compute... frown Since when did the propshaft rotate when the car is stationary?

Does it make the noise in all gears? And does the noise change with road speed or does changing gear also affect the noise?
