Last year I got a Q50 diesel, which I really enjoyed - but...... it developed a fault that couldn't be resolved. Infiniti were ace, they bought the car back and gave us the choice of any car they had in stock at massive discount. It's the gf's car primarily, and she liked the Q30, particulalry the one with big wheels, pano roof and silver mirrors.

Who am I to argue? We picked it up yesterday. I don;t think it's a particularly great looking car, but I do like the fact that it's fairly restrained and doesn't give much away.

It's a 2.0 petrol turbo - around 210 bhp, so it's fairly quick. The car's based on the Merc A Class so it's their engine, and I think their 7 speed auto box. I like the way it drives, obviously very different to the Q50, but it's responsive and proved really grippy yesterday in the torrential rain.

I really love the interior - the seats are ace, love the alcantara dash. It just feels a bit posher than a Golf or similar. Here's some pics, which are all over the place and I can't turn them round rolleyes:

I actually like these, bit of a guilty pleasure car as no doubt most would perhaps think it a bit odd looking etc.

Plus yours is the one to have engine-wise, they come in some really nice colours - there are a couple in my works carpark and it is something a bit differentsmile

I'm guessing electrical?

Heard some stories within the trade regarding Infiniti models written-off by electrical faults, a bit worrying if you're buying private without a warranty!!

Now then OP, how's the Q30 going (or gone) ?

In this age of over inflated car prices I have taken to trying to find some value in unusual specced cars from unloved brands - it seems a Q30 can be had for two-thirds of the prices as a similar A-class (which are somewhat good value themselves in mid-level A250 spec)

It’s gone sometime ago. Only because of financial pressure and not really needing the car through lockdown.
