Hi folks, I currently have a problem with (PDC) in my (2009 318D SE business edition) which is not working, so I went looking for the actual parking sensor module in the boot and I came across two wires which have been soldered to a resistor which can only tell me that this was done in order to bypass something and I have no idea what the previous owner was trying to achieve, I've seen videos on how people bypass all sorts of error codes with this trick and this got me worried.
can anyone tell what are the two wires for?

Is that near the battery? Looks like the wires that go to the safety battery terminal on the positive terminal-
Only reason you would cut it and stick a resistor in would be that it’s been set off previously and they don’t want to pay to replace it
