Mini GP2 Ownership - vs my previous cars
Discussion
Well I have owned the GP for six months now although I have not used it much over winter and have been cleaning the under carriage in the garage ready for some summer use this year!
Having owned a few John Cooper Works models over the past few years I always loved the GP model and wished that I could afford one!
The car I have now was owned by a lady that was a customer of mine where she brought this car to us for wheel alignment and tyres as we used the Hunter geometry equipment. I always loved it because she was an enthusiast and always looked after it.
She popped in one day and asked me to swap the private plate back to its original as she was buying a new car and decided to advertise the GP privately. Three days later I was a proud owner of my very own GP2!
After owning a lot of BMWs loving rear wheel drive and the precise weighted steering from the E46 and E9x models and then having the later F chassis 3 series where I thought that the steering was too light with very little feedback then as soon as I drove a Mini JCW model I loved the feedback through the steering wheel and the whole feel when pushing on through the bends and the roads I know well! I have loved The R55/56 Minis and think I always will!
The GP is definitely the best Mini I have ever had! It feels special and looks different which I love!
