Didn’t see the show, but he’s amazing for his age. He’s always looked younger than his years. And that voice - one of the best rock singers ever.

When Wilko emerged from his problems I went to HMV in Oxford Street to meet him and have a CD signed. The staff told me he was poorly again and someone had agreed to stand in for him.

What a nice guy. Greeted me, looked me in the eye, shook my hand, listened to my drivel, signed my CD, shook my hand and said goodbye.

Bewildering. I met Roger Daltrey. Of The Who. Y'know, he sang My Generation and Won't Get Fooled Again. He played Woodstock. Nice guy.
