So, I am at this track day on Saturday and I am considering the length of the straight (3/8th mile) and the maximum speed possible with the GTR. Given similar performance to the record-setting example, how much distance is required to accelerate from 40 to 200 mph and back to 40? The reason I am asking is mostly based on the maximum length of the straights at the tracks out here on the west coast and gearing for the transaxle. Here's my logic/guess:

Quarter mile trap 140 mph
Corner exit speed 40 mph
Straight speed after 1/4 mile about 180
180 mph = 264 feet per second
200 mph = 294 feet per second
Complete guess of 4 seconds from 180 to 200
Therefore, approximately 0.461 miles total distance to reach 200

Unknown distance to get back down to 40. Guessing 6 seconds 200-100 and 2.5 seconds 100-40. Maybe 8.5 seconds total and 0.4 miles?

So, 0.861 miles for 40-200-40? How far off is this?

Might know something about this ...

Bruntingthorpe airstrip is less the 2 miles long. I think 1.7 miles if I remember.

From a standstill to 204mph to a standstill took 1.7 miles give or take 20-30 yards.

The datasheet show the distance from 0-40mph and 40-0mph subtract that .... it is really is nothing

About 1.5 miles my guess

YOU D'MAN! Gareth, I come up with about 640 feet total for 40-100-40. Please drive out to the M1 and measure the time and distance for a 100-200-100 run.

Thanks,
