Respray Front End?

Do you think I should respray the front end of my 2012 997.2 before selling it? Not sure if this is something that will make a sale harder vs. something that is simply accepted on a car of this age. Any advice much appreciated...
Some people say original paint is absolutely essential....my OPC paints the front end of most AUC cars it sells. Depends how bad it is and how good the paint job is! Depends on who you are selling to. An OPC and most other dealers won't care and may give you a better price. You might get more if selling privately, and a nice front end may tip the balance in favour of your car versus another under consideration.
If it's a GT car, and especially a garage queen, then maybe original paint counts quite a bit, hence the common use of PPF.

Assuming you mean just the front bumper and bonnet, I wouldn’t do it. It’s unlikely to make more than a few hundred pounds difference if you get into negotiating with a private buyer on this point, and would cost you £500 - £1,000 to have it done well (I’ve had a quote from a good quality independent body shop to do mine). Also, if the paint job isn’t done well, it’s going to be hassle to get it fixed, which you won’t have if you just leave it be.
Just my opinion!

depends how obvious the damage is - could it be "reduced" with a good machine polish or chips away type work?
Repainting panels would normally raise a red flag for me as you wonder if its hiding accident damage - rarely do the body shops get a good match so it can really stand out.
Personally i'd advertise it first, see what sort of feedback you get and if someone really pushes about it - offer them £250 off the price - they probably won't get it painted either but will feel they have got a 'deal'!

I'm in this dilemma too - someone hit the front of my bumper and scratched the paintwork kind of badly which means it's more than the "road rash" that's common on these cars. Most people don't see the scratch, but I can see it a mile off as I know where it is. I'm worried that if I get the front end resprayed (quotes in excess of £1k) then I'll be scared to throw the car down the twisty roads and drive fast on the motorway, as I'll spot each stone chip!
I've decided to set the money aside for when it sells, as I think the £1k it'll cost me to fix will be recuperated by having a lovely shiny front.
