I've been searching around lightly used 991's for a while now in anticipation of getting my first 911 in June. There's a very nice 991.2 Carrera S in Porsche Reading that seems to have everything I want, but instead of the usual black leather interior it has an agate grey leather cabin.
I love Agate Grey as an exterior paint colour, but the leather looks brown(ish) on the photos. Is it really like that in real life?

It does look brown....I remember seeing a Dark Blue Cayenne with that interior and thinking how brown it looked.

A friend of mine had it on a C4S - and I thought it looked really nice - very classy.
Like the Agate paint colour, it’s a very dark grey, but with a hint of brown. Less brown than Esspresso and a nice alternative to black or grey.

Thanks. I'll go and have a look at it then later on this week. The Night Blue also seems a rare colour these days.
(Mrs F has declared she'll only approve a 911 if it is blue!)

That interior looks great IMO.
Definitely would prefer that over blak.

We looked at a 911 that was part agate grey and part pebble or something like that. In reality it looked very brown and we both hated it. shame as the car was perfect spec otherwise. Got one with black interior in the end.

That’s probably more a case of the two-tone colours?which seldom work well on Porsche’s.

Perhaps. Although I do think Porsche are particularly bad at coloured interiors. They are definitely better now, but a few generations back when a they were doing plastics in the colour of the seats some of them were dire.

Popped in to look at the car yesterday. It is brown! I love Agate Grey as an exterior colour, but the leather is very different. Will wait for a boring black leather 991 to come up.

I built a Boxster a few years ago with agate and pebble with deviating agate carpets and everyone who saw it loved it. I’ve had (and still have) Porsches with black interiors too. No one ever says says “wow” to black trim. A vote for Agate from me. smile
