Cerbera Brakes
Discussion
would normally do a search, but it aint workin'
..left car standing for a week, had the normal rusty discs, but on application of the middle peddle at speeds above 50mph, it appears that the front end of the car wants to shake itself to oblivion, hard to hold onto the steering wheel (i kid you not!).
are the discs warped all of a sudden
, pads seem ok, and is there an alternative supplier if this is the case?

Joospeed! Had the same problem recently (may well have been for very different reasons though so get your own triage done them) and Joo's brake upgrade was considerably cheaper than replacement parts from TVR.
Oh and they look the bollox too

...that did cross my mind half way up the M1, but yes did check tyre pressures, did'nt change symptoms
..looks like i might be doing some overtime for the brake upgrade if its as bad as that
If I were you I'd give Joo a call and describe your symptoms. He might have an idea about what has caused this. When I had brake judder it didn't start suddenly but got progressively worse. Maybe you've managed to etch a ridge of brake pad material onto the disk and a skim would fix it? I'm not a techie, just a humble consumer so no reason why my opinion would matter but it does seem strange that your brake judder has suddenly switched on.
Just replied once but it got wiped!
Before even thinking of spending money you should try the following.
Find a smooth, dry, empty road and brake test your car as if you're bedding in pads.
Don't back of the peddle when you feel the judder! Keep pushing through until it stops.
What you have is uneven deposits of pad and rust on the discs that need smoothing off.
Trust me, what have you got to lose trying this before spending out?
BTW the Cerbera brakes are stupendous as standard providing you have a good pad and fluid so I am amazed there are people out there who demand more powerful brakes
!

Defo worth trying out Duncan's suggestion. Put my car back in the garage once after being out in the rain with him (
), 2 weeks later took him out for a spin and when I hit the brakes it felt like a had a piece of 4x2 stuck on my wheels. 10 miles or so later of gentle and heavy braking and all was well again
