I'm after a 1k approx version of one of the above and would appreciate Thoughts folks!
I like the blue Seamaster. Also the breitling Colt. And as for the aerospace- that's a bit left field but I've always liked them.
Any pro's and con's???
Thanks in advance
Mike

My Seamaster is my old faithful! Still looks great after many years and a great everyday watch.

Yeah i would go for the seamaster too. been told the Aerospace is quite unreliable and parts very expensive. I nearly bought one for £600 which was a bargain but really it was just to have a Brietling in the collection, I did not really like it. As for the Colt don't forget some are quartz (would not bother me, if at the right price!) nice looking watch though.

The seamaster is king for me, think you might struggle to get one for that price though as they are climbing all the time.

Happy hunting.

I prefer the styling of the Seamaster so that would be my choice.

I've got a seamaster and a colt. I'd assume your probably looking at midsize seamaster?

I have the chronograph automatic seamaster. It's a fairly big watch. Nicely made body lovely wavy dial face, but the auto movement hasn't been the most reliable tbh. I also have the colt auto. It's small watch, fussier than the seamaster with the chrome centre to the strap and much lighter. The dial is also gorgeous in a cream finish and it feels like a really nice watch. It isn't in any way as solid feeling as the seamaster but it's a smaller lighter watch. Compared to a mid size seamaster quartz it would probably feel much the same. An old mate had a colt quartz since his 18th birthday and wore it pretty much every day and abused it and it took it well.

Both watches come with nice boxes. The breitling presentation is probably a little bit more special.

I'd suggest just buy whichever you like best or whichever you can get the best example of for budget. My colt was much cheaper than my seamaster, I think I paid about £11-1300 for the colt used but unworn, the seamaster also used but unworn was a 21st present many years ago and that was over 2k.

I have a Seamaster and an Aerospace.

Both have their pros and cons, but the Seasmaster seems to be a more desireable watch - although a lot more common.

Well....I bought a later model aerospace. Very pleased with it too. Tried the omega too but preferred the slightly quirkier breitling.

Even though inscribed 100m I don't think I'll go swimming in it. Thanks for the views and help folks thumbup

Is it the “repetition minutes” model?

Have you pushed in the crown and counted the bleeps yet?

Make sure you work out which digital time relates to the analogue time - otherwise you’ll have all sorts of grief with the alarms, etc.

Have you got the full instructions?

It's the 'chronometre aerospace' model and yes pod - full instructions and papers. I've sorted out syncing digital to chrono hands so all seems well....what's the beep things all about? Nice to hear from you - hope all is well chum!!

Press the crown in and it beeps.

First it does the hours, then the minutes. A double beep is fifteen mins.

So 7 beeps (7 o’clock) then a double beep (15) and then 6 more would be 7:21

Strangely pointless...

Had my Aerospace for nearly 20 years... tough old thing - certainly better built than some of the better regarded brands.

Don't discount the quartz Seamaster too. I've had my Bond style (larger not midsize) one for 18 years and it's going strong.
