Has anybody heard of this before?

I pay my wife a monthly salary but on checking her P60 at year end it appears that it's a month short on the total paid.

I keep hard copies of the submissions and have got the full 12 months and according to the tax office they have all gone through.

Even more strange is going onto her own personal tax account it clearly lists the full 12 months of payments by date order but the total at the bottom is wrong by one month.

I've been punted all round the Inland Revenue and nobody can see where it's gone wrong.

It's being passed on to the software folk who are going to look into it but it just seems really odd.

normally the reference is wrong on the payment so it gets paid but put in to the incorrect tax year (done it myself loads of times over the years) Worth checking?
