Community speed watch - first time

Hi guys

I think I've was caught by community speed watch today. I was doing 34-35 in a 30. This is the first time the watch has caught me.

What impact will this have??

You'll get a letter full of nonsense that you throw straight in the bin.

And if many people were caught in the same place, you might well find a proper police officer with an approved device will be in that location in the near future (perhaps alongside the CSW volunteers).

That's certainly been the case here in North East Essex lately

If its a lease car you dont even get to do that.

Ive gone by many in my leased van, and never had a letter

I assume the lease conpany just bin them rather than passing them on.

Most CSWs operate with a 35mph limit. In our area, if you’d get recorded three times you will be visited by an Policeman, so it isn’t to be taken too lightly unless you enjoy that sort of thing.
