Sorry guys getting edgy here as I wait what seems to be an eternity for my new car!

It left factory on the 9th April 2018, silly old me thinking Germany is pretty close so should have it by 13th/14th. Last update is was at Osnabruck on 16th April 2018.

From others that have received cars from factory over the last few months. Should I be expecting to wait:

A. 1-3 days
B. 4-6 days
C. 7-9 days
D. Eternity.

Time has never moved so slowly....... frown

Hey,

We are in the same boat (our cars literally hopefully) – My Boxster GTS left the factory around the same time as yours, was waiting at the docks on the German side (Emden) last weekend, made the crossing to Sheerness and arrived at my OPC yesterday!

You will know when it’s arrived in the UK as you’ll receive the “Welcome to My Porsche. Please confirm your Porsche ID” email.

Not long now!

Good luck.

10 days is the average according to my OPC....one big variable if that most OPC's get one delivery a week so if you're unlucky your car can be waiting for five or six days in the UK before it gets to your OPC.

Amazing Joe, haven't received the email yet but hopefully soon. Have you organised with your OPC to pick up the car yet? Hoping they get their ass in gear and do all their checks with a 24h turn around!!

Out of interest which OPC are you collecting from?

I’m actually in kind of the reverse situation to you guys…my car has actually arrived earlier than expected but I'm going to stick to my original handover date in a couple of weeks (for a number of reasons on my side…..one of which being that I have booked some days off work starting on collection day to fully enjoy it, that I can’t move forward).

In the interim it’s going to be ceramic coated.

Fingers crossed you guys won’t have to wait much longer.

Mine left the factory about 2 weeks ago. Planned in to pick up on Monday. It's going to be the longest weekend ever!

Me too Alan biggrin latest update from my OPC is that the vessel has left Germany and is heading to UK and should arrive early next week. I'm expecting to take delivery of the car by Friday, don't want to not have it for next weekend! If yours left factory with mine you'll definitely have it by 1st May!! Fingers crossed bud!

Jonny, same boat as me, mine left factory exactly 2 weeks ago on Monday so you'll be super lucky to get it as mine apparently won't even have arrived in the UK. Good luck and fingers crossed!

Do upload some pics if you get it on Monday! biggrin

Jonny - would be interested to see your spec list? Plus what the wait was from build to arrival at OPC?

Alan, just had an update from my representative at Porsche East London. My car arrived into the port of Sheerness on Monday. He said that if they receive it by 24th or 25th April then I can collect this Saturday 28th April. However he just emailed me to say that the car is STILL at the port in Sheerness so it is unlikely that I'll be able to collect until Monday/Tuesday at the earliest.

I'm 100% sure that our cars will be on the same transporter to the OPC. See if you can get any info from your representative. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Monday or Tuesday.......!!!!! crycrycry

I got my email from my SA today about my car arrive at port, who is your SA? PM me if you like, if we managed to collect on the same day we should collect arrange a close time together to get some pics lol.

Also worth noting that if they tax the car like end of the month you’ll loose a month tax next year!

Pretty basic spec (had set myself a fairly tight limit) - GBM, 20" carrera s alloys, sports tailpipe, cruise, heated seats, rear parking sensors, pdk, 64 litre fuel tank and smoking pack (for the cover in the centre console)

And a couple more pics biggrin

Next Monday isn't too long to go!
