What did I see?

Roughly 2pm, clear blue skies, Liverpool area. While waiting for the wife, I had a little wander around the park, staring up at the sky I spot the usual passenger jets cruising on by, I distinctly views something that I can't make sense of.
It was kind of shiny, definitely silvery, like something shining or reflecting, visible for a few seconds then not visible for a few seconds. Of what I could see it seemed to be around the same height as the passenger jets I could see. No obvious shape to it? It was very slow moving, definitely not static. Wasn't moving in a straight line, more like an S shape.
It was the silver shine that caught my attention, best described like a mirror reflecting the sun off something, not blinking, it was pretty obvious within half a minute that it wasn't any flashing lights/beacons that you see on any plane. I did think it was a satellite (not that I would be able to tell you what they look like) but I think it is safe to say that satellites don't travel in a slow curved s shape.
Could it have been a (military) drone? Or???
Any thoughts? I can't be the only person who looks upwards quite often to see what is flying overhead. It really was very bright considering the time, I only spotted it as the plane I was randomly looking at happened bring it into view.
It's an odd feeling, seeing something you are able to describe but not have the slightest idea of what it is. From first sight of it to the wife arriving then walking off showing zero interest, was just over 5 minutes.
So what was it? Birds don't go that high or wear shiny clothing, not a typical plane, not a helicopter, no contrails.

Good suggestion, never thought of that, could it have been a weather type balloon? Doesn't explain the directions it travelled though. Way more than just being blown about, the way it motioned looked purposeful and steady, not erratic. Video sounds interesting. Eric, totally agree, I am happy to admit that I have zero knowledge or skills to accurately estimate speeds or heights, just comparing the random passenger jets that were flying within my field of vision.
(If by chance you happen to read this Eric, does the biblically mahoosive depth of knowledge you possess extend to the chances of spotting a military drone flying in UK airspace? Has anybody sighted one?
