968, Optimax or standard fuel ?

optimax made no difference to my old 9442.7 - a wise PHer explained to me why; something to do with knock sensors.
968 completely different - designed to run on 98ron. despite being inherently mean, and not a particularly good driver, i found that the difference in performance putting optimax in my 968 more than justified the small extra outlay. to me it was very obvious. but only you can judge - one tank of optimax will only cost you another fiver over 95ron. go on go on go on

Fill it with 95 and see how it goes. The 968 was designed for 98ron but will happily go on 95ron. According to porsche, it will run on 95ron "for countries where higher octane fuel is not readily available"
They definitely play better on 98ron but if you are happy with 95, then put 95 into it. You then have to ask yourself why you have a sports car if you are not going to drive it the way it was designed to be driven
