Hi,

I'm currently driving a 1 litre Ford Fiesta but would like to switch to something with a bit more power and is fun to drive. I do enjoy the Fiesta but motorway driving at 3500 revs isn't very enjoyable. The main restriction I have is that I have a tiny garage - it's so small that the Fiesta will only fit in with the wing-mirrors folded in!

I'm looking to trade the Fiesta for something of similar value (bought it for about £8K 3 years ago). I'd prefer a modern car, nothing more than 5 years old.

I'd love to get an MX-5 but I think it's too big to fit. Wondering if the new VW Up GTI might be a good move, or the older Suzuki Swift sport, or spend a bit more and get an ST (although I heard it's a pretty firm ride, which puts me off with the amount of pot-holes round here)

Cheers

Panda 100hp

Older than 5 years though I think.

Quite a narrow tall car but good road presence/proportions.

Ultra reliable (pandas in general).

Other than that, Suzuki Swift and Smart Brabus to add to the 500.

Sounds like a tricky set of requirements:

1. > 100hp (assuming Fiesta is an Ecoboost of some sort)
2. Fun to drive
3. < 3,500 RPM @ 70+MPH
4. < 1,722mm wide
5. Budget of trade in price for Fiesta bought for £8k, 3 years ago - so, guesstimate of £6.5k ?? (Not sure how this stacks up with considering an Up GTI though so perhaps you could clarify budget).
6. 2013 or later
7. Decent ride quality

Suggestions:

1. http://r.ebay.com/PeQGgy

Seriously though, Up GTI probably the way forward, budget allowing.
