1972 BMW E3 2500

I have finally landed the barge of my dreams - I didn't know they existed two years ago but have been lusting after one since I saw several on the 2016 Bavaria Tour to commemorate 100yrs BMW.
This is actually my second '72 BMW but this one was bought specifically for European road trips with the secondary duty of a commuter wagon. It is only the pony 2500 motor, which is still on carbs, but I have all the parts from a later, motronic E23 such that if the motor is a good'un I will get more reliability and economy than the twin Zenith will offer. First trip for her is Le Mans Classic later this year and then, if she proves herself, she's going to Provence in the Autumn.
In terms of history I don't have a great deal more than I have already said in that she is as swedish as the muppet chef. Or should that be meatballs? It has a funny aftermarket immersion heater fitted to the block so I guess that's a good indicator of the cold climate that she's seen. Another indicator is the ~80k km on the clock - I have heard the swedes look after their motors and I imagine an old girl such as this one won't have been used that much.
