I have just taken delivery of my 991.2 GTS this weekend and love the car to bits - my first Porsche

I just have one issue, there seems to be a significant rattle coming from behind the instrument cluster / dash area. It occurs all the time under movement, including slow speeds and on pretty smooth roads, but stop when the car is stationary.

I have tried removing the plastic cover underneath the bonnet in case there was a clash, but after a short test drive I have ruled this out.

I have looked for anything loose, or any wires that might be rattling around under the steering column area. Was wondering if it might be a windscreen creak but not sure how to test this.

Has anyone had anything similar ?

I had a similar rattle on my 991.2 C2, took it back to the dealer who were able to hear the noise after a test drive. Took them a couple of days to fix, I believe there was something loose behind the dashboard.

Just take it back to be sorted. They should let you use one of their demo cars while it’s being fixed.

Exactly, I would not bother looking for the cause. You could look all year for it..

..... Or keep the revs up/PSE “ON” at all times.... wink

Sorry: not particularly helpful....!! Agree with the above comments— let the OPC sort it out, unless you enjoy tearing your hair out.... wink
