e65 parcel shelf removal

Can anyone offer any advice on how to go about removing the parcel shelf on an E65? My one has developed a twittering sound from that area and I'd like to take a look to see what I can see.

Don’t know whether you’ve got the blind or not - but this may help/be approx. equivalent.
