Tattoo removal - different types? Experiences...

Are there different types of removal available?

Most I have seen seem to be a flashing laser type which gradually fades the tattoo all over.

Then I saw a programme with a lad having one removed and whilst it was still a laser, it seemed to be focussed on a very small dot and looked to be burning it out as I went.

This looked much more painful but looked like it wouldn’t need repeat visits. You would still have to have several visits due to the pain but appeared to do a better job of getting rid of the ink.

Is there much of a difference in quality? How much does it cost? I’m based near leeds if there are any recommendations.

Contact Joe Espin @ Cult Classic in Romford , he got rid of my mistakes , very knowledgeable & gets excellent results . Its not a quick process , I needed about 6 sessions spread over a 14 months to erase my unwanted ink properly . I'd stay away from the glossy advertised robber clinics , heard some alarming & very expensive experience' s from too many people .

Inspirations on south parade morley are very good , ive seen some great laser removals from them. one thing to note is that the success can depent on the colour of ink, apparently green and red are a bugger.

I made some hardware for tattoo removal machines over 20 years ago and if I remember correctly the problem with red and green inks is that they don't absorb the laser 'energy' as well as other coloured inks, I think a different coloured laser is required?

This was over 20 years ago so could well be mis-remembered bks
