Okay, so when I warm my car up, she takes a while before she idles and I can walk away, high ish 1200 but not worried.
Take her out for a nice fairly spirited drive and she runs at closer to 1800.....way too much.
My car always used to start bang on the button........she now takes quite a bit of cranking......as if fuel starved on first start......then after the drive, same as if flooded.
She will always start, but sometimes needs pedal.
Sorry if repeating but have looked at the throttle which looks to return okay.......and when rIdling at the 1800, I cant (like you did in the old days) blip the throttle to drop the revs.

Any ideas ?

Hi Gav

Have you checked the timing?...4-6 degrees is good....It could also be a failing fuel pressure reg, especially if its sat about not being used....I have a spare that I could send you to try....
