Can anyone recommend a decent bodyshop in the Reading area that doesn't charge the earth?

I need my front bumper and bonnet resprayed due to having a million stone chips.

I used Little Knocks in Wokingham after good comments on here. I would go back.

Missus skinny just picked her car up from here today after a minor crash in the recent snow. Looks like they've done a really good job

Actually scratch that. Just noticed they replaced one of the gloss front panels with a matt finish

I spoke to them and they sounded like a nice bunch, but if that's the case I think I'll steer clear. They aren't the cheapest either.

I found a place in Reading called Many Autos All In One Car Solutions who provided a far better quote than all the other places I contacted, and they have good reviews.

Anyone used them?

To be fair to them, mrs spoke to them yesterday and they admitted their mistake no argument and that they should have caught it was a different finish. Turns out Citroen don't actually offer the panel in gloss finish any more so it was an honest error - they have offered to paint it for free.

I've used them, did a good job. If you're not going through insurance make sure you have lots of money though wink

Not far wrong. They quoted an extortionate amount so I said thanks but no thanks.

I went round the place that did the cheap quote and it looked proper shady with no painting facilities on site. I asked where they do the painting and they said they send the car to their bodyshop. No way I'm leaving my car there for them to rag around town taking it to their 'bodyshop'.

I know its not Reading, but not too far away.

Fix Auto Slough. Used recently for an insurance job and another time previously personally to fix a bonnet dent/deep scratch. I believe the major car manufacturers in the area use them. I've found them reasonable ££ and good work.

Thanks - good to know. I have some damage to have repaired, which occurred very shortly after getting the car ceramic coated - furiousfuriousfuriousfurious

The detailer uses somebody in Basingstoke so I might get them to take care of it.
