280i shifts bulky when cold

Have you guys done anything with the 280i 4 speed to make it shift better? I know the tips for the 350i LT77 box. Any ideas on the 4 speed box?

What grade oil you using there are easy tricks to improve the shifting on that box oil grade being one of them

Just bought the car last weekend and drove it almost 1400 mile home.
I’ve notices first thing on cold mornings it really doesn’t like to shift.

If its the Ford 4 speed you can use Dexron 2/3 with fantastic results failing that you can use MTF94 or similar transmission fluid just avoid Hypoy's 80's 90's if you want that cold slick shift these boxes are rather nice generally for shift quality and superior to the T9 5 speed box
