Astra is loosing power

Sorry if I’ve posted this in the wrong section. I have a Vauxhall Astra 1.6 8v auto 2004 with roughly 42000 miles. The past week my car has been loosing all power at any sort of speed. Sometimes it kicks back in and goes for a short while before loosing power. I restart my car and sometimes it doesn’t start first time and I only get so far before loosing power again. When sitting idle the needle is going up and down and cuts out again. I got a code off the car and we changed the egr but that hasn’t fixed the problem. No codes are showing on the car now. I noticed yesterday when the car was about to cut out the oil light came on and off but it’s got enough oil. Can anyone help with this?

Probably the coil pack is faulty. Common fault.

Or air mass meter or split pipe causing air leaks

I would say air leak somewhere after the MAF. These sort of things often don’t show on diagnostics but play havoc with AFR’s.
