Good, bad or indifferent. i8
Discussion
Had a look at the i8 and chat with the owner about his car. Had a good look around and the car seems very comfortable with the usual BMW ergonomics. Then the owner tells me about the performance on road spec’s, impressive. Never knew that it’s powered by a tiny 1500 engine though! Longevity?
Just interested but no intention of buying even if they have a nice one in at stratton motors for 60k.

My sister had one when they first came out. I looked at new ones again a few months ago as a potential option. Not a great drivers car, M car would be better. Looks very pretty although skinny wheels ruin it, doors can be a pain for a dd, weapon for over taking, engine noise is not what you would expect but a great showcase for things to come. Bigger wheels and a decent petrol engine would make it more interesting but would defeat the point of the car. I'm looking forward to the new 8 ... and eventually the M8

Must admit I found the car fairly difficult to get out of, but then I am the wrong side of 65 years.
Looking at it from a used car purchase, the owner tells me it’s a BMW garage for all service repairs, I suppose all other manufacturers will be likewise in due course. Puts me off as a six year old car + purchase, the repair bills could be horrendous, so who will be buying these high tech cars.
Maybe horse riders said the same thing in 1899
