A question about annual leave and bank holidays

The misses has worked at a gym for getting for 10 years.
She has a regular shift of Friday evenings for all this time.
Last bank holiday - (Good Friday) she was taken off the rota and the shift was given to another member of staff.
There was no explanation for the change, she has now been told it was shown as annual leave.
The question is can they just show you as annual leave with out asking or should it be shown as Bank holiday leave.

Another annoying factor with her workplace is the staff lockers are being changed. She was told it was being done not before Friday and she could collect her stuff Friday before work. She found out today that the locker has been opened and all her personal items disposed off.
Waxkers is the expression i think.
