Mini Cooper SD 2017 BRG

Evening PH’ers,
Very long time lurker here!
I’m Tom and have, fairly recently, made the jump over to Bristol from Newcastle for work in Commercial Property. Fortunately, my employers are quite understanding of my car habits and after a bit of to’ing and fro’ing; this little slice of Oxford was delivered to me in June 2017.
Car history is pretty short. I’m 24 and, with university, I’ve never been able to indulge in cars, but have done a lot of Karting; particularly in the BUKC. My first car was a 2002 Fiat Punto with comical levels of understeer and then a 2012 Peugeot 208 vti, which was a very, very, underrated car for what it was.
So, onto the Mini. I’ve had it for 10 months now and, slightly crashy suspension aside (oh and the awful headlights), it’s a very pleasant little steer. The engine, although a diesel, is very good indeed despite running out of puff above 4K. The best bit however is the steering, it’s an absolutely joy to drive on B-roads; especially on a recent trip to Elan Valley. So much so, the O/H has given the tentative green light to 2nd Mini for potential track duties once we get a house sorted later this year.
Future plans, as a company car, are fairly limited but I’m hoping to explore more local roads, events and perhaps a trip to the ‘ring (although I won’t be driving it) in 2019, so if any PH’ers are in the south-west, let me know!

The build quality has become really good with these, don't suppose theres any rattles coming from the dash like my '03 Cooper?!
Don't worry they still rattle! I had my 2017 Cooper S new and it had a rattle in the drivers door pillar. I've got used to it now but it annoyed me at first. Great fun cars to drive though I reckon.
