I could be being a dullard here, but everytime I check the pistonheads sales pages, there are always about 3 times as many T350's for sale than Tamora's.

I was under the impression 500 Tams and 500 T350's had been made so why the descrepency in sales?

Or is it 500 T350C's and 500 T350T's?

Or is it Tamora owners don't want to let go of their cars?

Just a thought. I'm bored in an airport.

Only about 300 Tanoras so far produced, but no idea on numbers of T350s.

That's a travesty. They deserve to sell ten times that amount of Tamoras. If only more people got to drive them...

They used to sell around 300 Lotus Esprits around the world every year on a regular basis, and that was considered a bit of a marginal, unpopular car.

I'd so love to work for TVR's marketing department for a bit. They are missing a good few tricks methinks. Brilliant, inspired cars and no sales...

There can't be that many about, and the average 'Joe Puplic' doesn't seem to recognise the Tam at all, I have had on more than one occasion people commenting on how fantastic it looks, and then asking if it's Italian!!!!!

Exclusivity is the byword! There were 57 on the Tamora Register last time I looked. Beauties!!

I was told when I asked the factory that there were around 300+, I know of about 6 no longer running. I reckon theat means we have tracked down around 19%. With 2 more being bought this week (but not registered yet on the register we could hit 60 within a couple of weeks!).

As for the numbers I think they gave up with the 500 limit. IMHO the Tamora is extremely understated. I think most that have drive are almost compelled to buy, and I know that more people are now considering because of the new warranties so lets hope so!

As for people not knowing I have been asked so many times is it a kit car!

If it had a 350 nose then it would have outsold the T350!

I'm not knocking Tamoras ... it's just my quest to get a T350 convertible on the forecourt.

Have you noticed how EVERY new car has a big bum these days? Aerodynamics have a lot to answer for. That's one positive thing the girlfriends' TT has, a nice rounded posterior.

You were knocking our Tams Trefor, and as a minority group, within a minority group, we have a plethora of rights, and you are in soooooo much trouble on the 15th

Mind you, I don't think our 'local' dealer likes Tams too much judging by the way is was treated!!

Chris,
I know your (and mine) local dealer does not like Tamora's as he told me the were not getting anymore due to lack of demand!!! So Racing Green will get my order.

Martin.

Excellent! Another one! I would give Silverstone a call, they phoned me the other day to talk traction control, very helpful!

On another note, if you were to sell your Tamora (which I'm not), what on earth could you upgrade to?

Not interested in that Marcos or anything German.

What else is convertible, rear wheel drive, 350+ bhp etc...

Italian and twice or thrice the price is about all you'll find.

Ignoring Noble as they still haven't produced a drop top (I thought they were planning one?).

I had last year a rare opportunity to visit the Noble factory and spend some time with them. I loved there prep facilities. My TVR dealer even sells them and I think noble are great cars, but they told me that there no plans for the drop top as the M14 is taking so many orders. To be honest I think the M14 will give Ferrari a run for its money.

As for the nobles, awesome, too short to drive one with out moving the pedals, but for me, not my cup of tea, give me a drop top any day, that said, as its a car, I will always admire it, even it has more than a few bits from a Mondeo....(oops wrong thread! )

BASICALLY, the Tamora is the best and most people don't realise it, or are jealous.
