I am a new owner and wanting to lower my 2009 with sportpack a slight amount. Maybe 1/2” to 3/4”.

Can the car be lowered with minor adjustments to the suspension without having to go to new springs? If so, what amount can the car be lowered with minor alignment adjustments?

If it can’t really be lowered that way, I am concerned with going with aftermarket springs that are not optimized for the sportpack...

What have others done? I am not interested in doing this if it negatively affects the handling performance.

Thanks for any thoughts. I am in the US.

If you have sports pack DO NOT buy H&R as the rear sit too low compared to the front...... (I tried this)

You need to buy the VelocityAP Springs and the car will site about 20-25mm lower and the ride will be perfect wink

DAE sell and fit them. (UK)

As above, don't use H&R springs with the Sport Pack. Not just for the stance, but because they don't work well with the Bilstein dampers. You'll get a 'pogo' effect in which the car keeps bouncing after hitting a bump, rather than quickly settling back down as it should.

VelocityAP made their springs specifically to work with both the standard and Sport Pack suspension due to complaints about the H&R springs.

I really appreciate the info and especially the photos. I sent an email to redpants in the US for ordering.

How many hours do you think a mechanic would take to install at an independent shop?

I ordered the Velocity AP set today from redpants. Looking forward to seeing them on. I will post before and after photos.

Thanks again for the input.

Just make sure you measure before and after. The first set of springs dropped the front of my car way too low.

Anyone got anymore feedback on the Velocity AP springs? They look great, but I read that a few people found the cars a bit too low for general use?
