Spax dampers

Don't seem to see these mentioned in the discussions about suspension.
Has anyone tried them?

Yes. It was quite a memorable experience which I won't be repeating.

i would say : why bother trying to go out on a limb when there's so many tried and tested kits on the market that are proven to work.?

I've tried virtually every damper on the market (for sensible money anyway) and i only sell three damper makes .. that probably tells you something .. Spax isn't one of them.

I had SPAX RSX shocks on the front my first chim when (fitted when I bought it).. the were OK but nothing special and I heard that they started leaking soon after I sold the car by which time they had done about 10,000 miles.

I actually checked the prices recently and the Chim ones were £114 + VAT each rrp, according to the factory.
