Pouring it in with old oil will just have it sitting on the bottom of the tank under the oil.
There was a piece in some eco-blurb from the local council that waste oil contractors who recycle the stuff are junking a lot of it due to contamination with everything but oil, including paint, and er, anti-freeze.
Classed as 'hazardous waste' and should go to a treatment plant. HJ site:

Everyone can tell you that you can't dump that there, we don't take that, etc. but nobody seems to be able to tell you what you CAN do with it!

I emailed my local council to ask if I can dispose of tyres with them (tyres I've had for years and should have got rid of when it was easier, but just my own stuff), thinking that some councils have a small number of Everyone can tell you that you can't dump that there, we don't take that, etc. but nobody seems to be able to tell you what you CAN do with it!

No wonder there is a problem with irresponsible waste disposal!
Interesting about the anti-freeze down the toilet though, as this has cropped up on another forum I am on.

"No", was the answer, but there are companies that will do that. Can they recommend one, do they partner with one? No, they don't.
That sums it up succinctly - no wonder people go to somewhere remote with no CCTV and just abandon things! 
Please don't ever mix it with oil, that's just idiotic and leaves a toxic mess which is then very difficult to deal with.
I would say it's pretty safe to find some waste ground or at the bottom of your garden and pour it around there. It'll get dealt with naturally as long as you're not doing it every day.

Err!? All our drain pipes go into the sewer (loo, sink, bath, gutters, drains) and join the main sewer in the road that has the street drains going in to it - AFAIK that's standard town drainage. Will be different if you're on a septic tank, gutters and drains probably do go to water courses or soakaway. Pour it on waste ground? That's the worst possible way. Wild life, let alone cats and dogs, will find it.
My local council recycling sentre will take it. The problem will be finding extra containers to take the diluted used stuff.
Since (for instance) Halfords OAT concentrate is £16 for 2 litres and ready mixed £12 for the same amount, it'll have to be a bucket!

It'll soak straight into the ground, if you use a fraction of a braincell as you're pouring it.I wonder if the advice differs between "normal" and modern/pink/oat? And what about the Evans waterless?
I think everyone has the same problem when it comes to disposing of old antifreeze. My local recycling centre will not normally accept it, but they have taken it from me when I've asked nicely.
I'm not condoning the dumping of antifreeze, ethylene glycol will break down after about 10 days exposure to air and several days to a few weeks of exposure to water and soil. Interesting fact, the primary source of ethylene glycol within the environment is from the run-off areas at airports. Most of the de-icing of planes during winter runs straight on to the runways and then into the run-offs.
