A friend is after a new car, and is considering a Juke - probably 3 to 4 years old. She quite liked the test drive she had yesterday.

Are they decent cars? Anything to beware of?

And any similar cars she should consider? It needs to be practical - 5 doors is good - and needs to be easy for elderly relatives to get in / out, which is why the Juke appeals.

Skoda Yeti?

The rear seats are very flexible (they easily come out if needed), or can lift the middle seat out and slide the two outer seats a little towards the center, thus giving more elbow room if the passengers are, coff, larger build.

Myriad of engine choices, higher specs bring xenon lights, heated leather, park assist (self park), heated windscreen etc.

My friend has a fairly new one and it’s already broken down a couple of times - something to do with not starting due to a software fault and required dealer updates. Also the boot is tiny which doesn’t make it that practical in my opinion.
