a very quick and easy google....

if they're digital channels then it's a TNT box, analog by aerial assuming France hasn't gone like UK yet?

Last year we went down to FNAC in LM centre and bought a freeview DVB box. It worked fine but there was no coverage. Worth noting the French use a different Freeview standard to the UK (they're on their second generation) and you'll need one of theirs.
Eurosport from Astra 19.2E is the way to go. A camping sat-dish isn't hard or too expensive - you might even be able to find an old Sky dish and mount it on a bit of scaffold. We've just picked up a free-satellite box for £20 on eBay.

Should get German Eurosport on your TV, but it will have German commentary. Just mute and turn up Radio LM.
Unless someone tells me I wrong of course!
Someone get that man a beer. That's exactly the way to do it.Clicky

Output Flange - I bought this: Tempo 3000 DVB-T2 DVB-T2 Terrestrial Receiver, HD Compatible MPEG-4 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01MTS9XGR/ref=cm_sw_r... (no affiliation, I’m sure other boxes are available but I can run this one off USB)
Was able to receive the necessary channels with a normal TV antenna, no dish/viewing card needed.
I would think anything with a DVB-T2 (I.e. Freeview) receiver will do the job, just plug in an aerial and tune in.

This is probably the best option as Eurosport have full 24 hr coverage and the warm ups etc. Reading the link earlier, France2/3 is only going to have about 15 hours coverage. Clicky

Be warned... getting the dish lined up is a pig without a satellite measuring thingy... about £10. Still I'll be trying the free to air too. even if you have a proper compass to start with!

This still works, I tested it yesterday. And this is what we have been doing for the last 8 years.Clicky
