After reading the thread on losing interest in gaming, something. I could relate to at 46 years old, I decided to make the effort after work not to sit on my arse and watch tv but do something less boring instead( shamelessly copied from a certain tv programme only people of my age will remember;-) ) so I downloaded beat sabre .
Fantastic addictive game that’s simple to play ( essential for a man of my years!).yet takes so much of my attention I do not notice the limitations of the HTC headset.
What other games are people playing or looking forward to coming out in the near future ?

Okay, I had to look up beat sabre.

That is officially my next purchase, it looks ace! thumbup

I've been meaning to pick up PCars 2 for a while and have been trying (unsuccesfully so far) to tweak the controls for war thunder and my HOTAS to something useable.

Tell up what you've played.

I always recommend
Gorn - Gladiator/hand to hand combat, well done locomotion, fun physics, hard physical work.
Arizona Sunshine - Zombie shooter - 3-4hr campaign plus horde (wave/endless mode).
Superhot VR - Perfect for VR, very short but perfect for VR, makes you feel like you are in the Matrix. Lots of replayability in the endless modes.

I haven't bought anything VR related in the last few months but I'm still regularly playing American- & Euro Truck Simulator 2, Project Cars 2 and if I'm feeling a bit energetic, Drunkn Bar Fight & Eleven:Table Tennis on my Rift.

For relaxing I play NewRetroArcade:Neon and simply just hang-out in Steam VR Home.

Digital Combat Sim.

The Mrs thinks I look ever so daft with my head craned round trying to keep an eye on the other guy behind me who's rattling bullets into my shiny jet while maintaining my best turning speed.

So immersive. Get on Steam/teamspeak/discord with friends just adds to the experience.

Requires a decent stick and some time learning how to use radar/weapons/systems get the best out of it but well worth it.

In my Oculus and Steam library I have:

Assetto Corsa
Project Cars 2
The Golf Club VR
Superhot VR
The Climb

When I first got the Oculus I put a lot of hours into the climb and the golf one as it was just such a change in gaming, such fun.

Now though I can't touch anything but PCars 2, I've played 60 odd hours on it in the last 2 months, everytime I get a free 30 minutes or so I fire it up.
I've just upgraded my PC to an i7-8700k and a GTX 1080Ti and the graphic improvement over my old 1070 make PCars 2 so much nicer to play, the immersion is incredible and I can't wait to see what they can do with VR in future.

Occasionally I have VR nights and get friends around, it's fun watching them experience the same thing I felt when playing on the dedicated acradey style VR stuff.
