15 DFP only one pipe connected?

Q5 not 15.. doh.
Had the coil light pop on, and got a friend to pull the codes its was the dfp (dpf differential pressure sensor), we cleared the code, but at the next start is popped back on again.
This looks to be a common fault.
However, I looked under bonnet, happy to change myself and it appears only one of the pipes is pulled in.. This 'may' be correct as it may be working out the differential against atmosphere.
I unplugged it, cleaned it and put it back on and the light is now out..
