evening, took this video on weekend. Thought it was PAS at first but since the electric pump is removed the noise is still coming from the engine.

Any insights?

I’m gonna go with failed alternator drive shaft bearings. If so, it’s an engine out job to fix.

Maybe get a length of tube and use it as a stethoscope to find where the noise is coming from.

... Which is an auxiliary drive shaft that comes through the timing cover?

Would there be oil leaking albeit slowly if this is the case?

That’s the fella. No oil when mine went. It started as a shrill grating sound at high revs and later became a constant chatter. I took it to APM to have a look and the noise suddenly stopped on the way. When I got there Andy pointed out the alternator drive pulley was flopping about. A couple of days later it was ready for collection - great service!
