Starter Motor problem.......could it be battery

Does anybody know minimum battery voltage required for this starter motor. Having problems and I am running with a 12V battery.

12 volt starter when cranking, battery voltage should not drop below 9.6 Volts

Is it a nominal 12V starter motor?

What symptoms are you getting?

More to the point....what is the voltage you are seeing during cranking measured at that starter ?

And what is the actual problem you're not telling us ?
