Noise from fuel pump?
Discussion
Has anyone had any strange noises from their fuel pump?
My 3R (5.5k miles) has started making a sort of light-grinding noise from what I assume is the fuel pump when the throttle is pressed more than about 1/4 of the way down. This happens even with a full tank.
I'm assuming it's the fuel pump as the noise appears to be coming from low down behind the passenger seat, which is where I last heard a strange noise from when I had total fuel cut out at low fuel pressures (below half a tank, I couldn't get the engine to run for more than a couple of seconds at a time).
Previously, the car was under warranty and it went back to Noble and came back just fine (possibly with a new fuel pump, I got conflicting reports from Bob and the delivery driver who returned the car), but it's only done a few hundred miles since it was serviced at the factory and I wasn't expecting any problems from that area.
Anyone else had fuel pump issues? Sorry if this has been covered before, but since search is disabled it's hard to find other discussions!
Thanks,
Hugo
